A step-by-step route for WoW Forever: where to go at every level, when to pick up the Bear, Cat and Aquatic Form quests, which Mulgore quests are new, what to hit things with in forms (in Forever your weapon decides it) and what to collect from the very first minutes.

What to install from CurseForge for Forever: the useful and the fun
Maps inside dungeons:Dungeon Crawler Forever shows floors, passages, bosses and quests. Open it with /dm. Its data changes with the beta: double-check quest requirements in game. More conveniences, screenshots and highlight commands - in the useful addons guide.
How to install. In the CurseForge app, add the game with the “+” button and point it to your Forever client folder - a Forever tab appears. Manually on the beta: the _classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns folder. Addons for regular Classic won't work - you need a file marked Forever (1.60.1). ★ - our pick.
Already in the game - no addon needed: coordinates on the map and minimap (turn them on in the settings), quest objectives on the map (the “Enhanced” template at first login, or the quest objectives option), a damage meter, a swing timer, the Cooldown Manager, one combined bag, an equipment manager and a modern auction house. Not in the game: a threat meter, markers for quests you haven't picked up yet, and a /way command.
Quests and map
★ Questie - who gives quests and where the objectives are, on the map and minimap. It still lacks some of the new Forever quests.
★ TomTom - an arrow to a point. The coordinates on this site copy as a /way command for it.
★ Leatrix Maps - reveals unexplored parts of the map, shows dungeon entrances, and the map can be enlarged.
Forever Quest Tint - tints the text of new Forever quests, so you see at a glance what's new.
Conveniences
★ Leatrix Plus - auto quest turn-in, junk selling, repairs, fast loot and dozens of small things. There's a separate version for Forever.
★ Baganator - proper bags and bank: the built-in combined bag can't be moved. A similar one - Bagnon.
★ Auctionator - posts auctions quickly, remembers prices and shows them in tooltips.
★ Platynator - draws neat bars above mobs and marks the ones you need for a quest. Very handy while leveling.
Professions
★ GatherLite - herbs, ore and fish on the map: it already ships with more than 26 thousand points made for Forever.
GatherMate2 - the same, but it only remembers points as you gather them yourself.
For fun: voiceover and dialogue
★ Spoken - English voiceover for quests, books and zones. On the Forever forums it gets the most praise: “like an audiobook”. More in the addons guide.
★ Immersion - movie-style NPC dialogue instead of the usual quest window.
Optional
Details! or ThreatClassic2 - threat in dungeons: the built-in damage meter doesn't show it.
Easy Experience Bar - experience per hour and how much is left to the next level.
Dungeon Journal - dungeon quests and loot: Forever has no dungeon journal of its own.
WeakAuras has no Forever version; use the fork ForeverAuras instead (it can do what the built-in Cooldown Manager sees).
For mail, instead of Postal try Forever Mail: recipient picker, mail history and attachment lists. More in the general addons guide.
Zygor and ElvUI aren't installed through CurseForge.
Combat “helpers” that do calculations are banned in Forever, as in the modern game: addons may display, but not calculate.
For druids
★ Forever_DruidManaBar - a mana bar under your rage or energy while you're in Bear or Cat Form. According to the addon's description, Forever's default UI doesn't show mana in forms, and your mana decides whether you can afford to shift out and heal. Made for Forever (file 1.60.1), and the author fixes bugs within a day.
Tanking dungeons as a bear? Install a threat meter from the “Optional” card: the built-in damage meter doesn't show threat.

Leveling talents
Builds for 10–30: which one to pick and in what order to spend points
Your first talent point comes at level 10, then one per level. Not sure what to pick? Go “Feral Combat: Cat”. Hover a talent for its Wowhead tooltip; the button at the bottom opens the build in the Wowhead calculator with the same order. According to beta data, a talent reset at the trainer costs 1 if you haven't reset in a while: you can level as a bear until 20 and then move your points into the cat build.
Feral Combat: Catmain0 / 21 / 0The fastest way to level solo: bear from 10, cat from 20. That's what the beta guides (Warcraft Tavern, Method) and almost every tester recommend - leveling as a caster in Forever is painful.
Pros:Ferocity makes Maul and Claw cheaper; Feral Swiftness at 18–19 gives your bear +4% dodge for now, and from 20 your cat runs 30% faster - in Forever even indoors. Blood Frenzy at 25–26 gives you extra combo points from crits, and Leader of the Pack at 30 gives your group +3% crit while you're in form.
Cons: the cat has no damage against several targets - on three mobs, switch to bear. No Primal Bite, so tanking dungeons is harder than with the bear build.
Weapon: a two-handed mace or a staff with the highest damage per second - in Forever your auto-attack and Claw in forms deal weapon damage.
Feral Combat: Bearfor dungeons0 / 21 / 0The same path, but focused on tanking: Heart of the Wild 5/5 by level 19 and Primal Bite at 25. For those who run dungeons a lot.
Feral Combat: Furor Catsafest0 / 12 / 912 points in Feral Combat and 9 in Restoration. For those who heal a lot in the middle of a fight or can't afford a single death.
Pros:Furor (a Restoration talent, unrelated to the Wrath spell) - you shift out of Cat Form to heal and come back with the energy you had, and your bear starts with 10 rage. Natural Shapeshifter at 27–29 makes forms 30% cheaper.
Cons: it kills slower than the main build. The forums can't agree: some call Furor useless for damage, others ask for it to be made baseline.
Who it's for: you shift out of form to heal more often than once every couple of fights.
Balance: Roots and Wrathif you want to cast21 / 0 / 021 points in Balance: Wrath is faster and costs half as much, and your roots take more damage before they break. Beta feedback calls it the slowest way to level solo, but in a group you're the healer.
Cons: in Forever, Wrath at ranks 3–5 hits noticeably weaker than in Classic even after the buff, and your mana runs out fast. The only new button Balance gets before 30 is Insect Swarm at 25.
The tauren starting camp · Red Cloud Mesa in southern Mulgore
0 of 16
All the quests are near the camp: grab everything, do them in a loop, turn them in as a batch. About 40 minutes.
Don't forget in this section
As the reward for A Humble Task[2], pick a gathering profession book - you get the profession for free (you can read it from level 3). Learn the second profession from the junior trainers right here (step) for 10.
Grace of An'she and Mu'sha[4] is timed, 10 minutes: take it when you're ready to run straight to the fire. The reward is a 6-slot bag.
The camp's druid trainer Gart Mistrunner only teaches up to level 6. After that it's Gennia Runetotem in Bloodhoof Village and the trainers in Thunder Bluff.
◈ Loot along the way
Cougar and boar pelts - for Skinning or a vendor. Don't sell the Strider Meat: you'll learn Cooking in the village, and in Forever food gives +5% experience.
➶ Level faster
Until level 10 you're a caster, but don't spend mana on every mob: open with Moonfire, then hit with your staff. In Forever Wrath costs half as much as in Classic, but it also hits weaker - save it for pulling and for mobs that run away.
For a druid we recommend Herbalism + Skinning (see the “Professions” section for why). The book gives you one profession, learn the second one here. Wunna Darkmane in Bloodhoof Village sells the Skinning Knife.
Moonfire is instant and keeps burning for another 9 seconds - open every fight with it. Cast Rejuvenation after a fight: it heals you while you run to the next mob.
Keep Thorns on yourself at all times: 10 minutes of free damage to anything that hits you.

Poison Water[5], Swoop Hunting[6] and Mazzranache[8]: everything for them drops from the same wolves, plainstriders and swoops - take all three quests at once. Rite of Vision[7] isn't a drop: the Well Stones lie by the Winterhoof Water Well, and the Ambercorn is under the trees around the village.
Mahnott Roughwound : Walking Stick≈ 5 (level 3) - a staff with 4.2 damage per second, almost twice as good as your starting one. In Forever your weapon matters later too, in forms.
Wolf paws and hearts, plainstrider talons and scales, swoop gizzards - don't sell any of it until you've turned in the village quests: three quests ask for them at once.
➶ Level faster
In Forever any “Well Fed” food gives +5% experience from kills for 15 minutes - eat it for 10 seconds. Cooking is unlocked by a new quest - Kaga Wildhoof by the road in front of the village. Do it first.
Until level 10 death is free: no “Resurrection Sickness”, just a little durability loss. The spirit healer is near the village - a death run is the faster way back to your turn-ins.

Western and northern Mulgore
Palemane Rock, the Thunderhorn well, Red Rocks, your first visit to Thunder Bluff
0 of 11
Two loops: west to the gnolls, and north - the well, the dwarven dig site and Red Rocks. In between, a short trip to Thunder Bluff to get the flight path and set your hearthstone.
You don't have to drink the Water of the Seers from the quest and follow the vision - you can come straight here. Throw the empty flask away afterwards.
In Forever Nature's Grasp is learned from the trainer, not taken as a talent: the first enemy to hit you in melee gets stuck in roots. Teleport: Moonglade isn't on the Forever trainer lists: in Classic, Turak Runetotem gave it to you along with the quest Moonglade[10] - most likely that hasn't changed (step).

The Venture Co. Mine, the new Galak camp, an elite shredder
0 of 7
The eastern edge of Mulgore. New in Forever: the Galak centaur camp and an elite shredder in the mine. One trip into the mine covers four quests.
Don't forget in this section
For Supervisor Fizsprocket[12], take Goblin Smasher - a tauren-only two-handed mace with 8.2 damage per second: the best free weapon until 14. In Thunder Bluff Etu Ragetotem sells slightly stronger ones: Quarter Staff (level 11, 9.4) and Giant Mace (level 10, 9.0) - if you have 30 silver to spare, take the staff. Ansekhwa teaches Two-Handed Maces in the same city - that's where you're going next.
➶ Level faster
At level 10 death is still free; from 11 you get “Resurrection Sickness” for (level − 10) minutes and −25% durability. The trip back down to the village after the mine is your last free one.
According to beta feedback, you can kill it solo: when it “overloads” and attacks faster, back off and wait it out. Didn't work? Abandon the quest and move on: it doesn't unlock anything.
Two-handed maces, turn-ins and your first teleport to Moonglade

A big visit to the capital: turn in the Mulgore quests, learn Two-Handed Maces and do the first half of the Bear Form quest - a teleport to Moonglade and back.

Get the Camp Taurajo flight path as soon as you come out into the Barrens.
➶ Level faster
From 10 to 20, bear is your main form in Forever: it hits with your weapon's damage every 2.5 seconds, and you spend no mana in form. Shifting out just to cast Rejuvenation is expensive: shifting back in costs 55% of your base mana.
⚔︎Questing loop: “Preparation for Ceremony”, “Stalk With The Earthmother”, “Wildmane Cleansing” and 2 more

Below Thunder Bluff, to the north : Windfury Sorceresses and Matriarchs - 6 Azure Feathers and 6 Bronze Feathers, Preparation for Ceremony[11]. The cones lie on the ground under the harpies' trees - 8 of them, Stalk With The Earthmother[11].
The follow-up, Stalk With The Earthmother, asks for a Raw Brilliant Smallfish: catch one in the pond below or buy it at the auction house. The reward is a one-handed mace a druid barely needs: optional.
Before the summon: Thorns, Mark of the Wild and full mana. Cast Nature's Grasp: his first hit roots him in place - step back and cast Moonfire and Wrath. He hits in quick flurries, so keep Healing Touch ready. Thunder lizards roam nearby - they're stronger than you, stay away.

Two rare elites roam here - a Venture Co. overseer and a foreman. Go around them. If the goblin dies, the quest fails: abandon Gerenzo's Orders[22] and take it again when he's back. Doesn't work the second time either? Abandon it and later turn in only Super Reaper 6000[21].
How to do this quest - Gerenzo's Orders
Two waves: first three level 21 fighters, then two fighters and two casters of level 22–23. Very hard solo at 21 - bring a friend.
The next quest in the chain, Wet Job[32], leads to Loch Modan in Alliance land - don't take it.
How to do this quest - Cycle of Rebirth
The seeds are small brown cones on the ground around the lake, at about six spots. Turn down grass density in the graphics settings and they become visible.
Shred only works from behind - open fights with it without leaving stealth (Prowl). Want another 6–7 thousand experience and the Zoram'gar flight path? First stop by western Ashenvale (optional) and do this step from there. Leveling without a group? Be sure to go: you won't have any dungeon quests, and the experience will come in handy.

New Forever quests and the Zoram'gar flight path
0 of 4
About 6–7 thousand experience and the Zoram'gar flight path (useful for Blackfathom Deeps). Skipping it now? You'll get the flight path at 28.
Don't forget in this section
Be sure to get the Zoram'gar flight path: you'll need it for Blackfathom Deeps.
The road, the zeppelin and the quests for two dungeons
0 of 6
Walk to Orgrimmar, then take the zeppelin to Undercity. Collect the Ruins of Lordaeron and Shadowfang Keep quests there right away. Dungeons are done in a group of five: no group - don't take The Wrath of Rath'mael[22], Light's Justice[22], The New Plague[22] and The Book of Ur[26], or they'll just sit in your log. Without a group you'll fall about 2 levels behind: going by beta data, the dungeon quests at 22–29 are worth about 75 thousand experience. The optional branches make up part of it - the southern Barrens at 29 and the backup quests in Thousand Needles (step); if you skipped western Ashenvale, you can do its new quests at 27 too (step). Make up the rest by killing mobs along the way.
Don't forget in this section
Set your hearthstone in Undercity: from Dun Garok you'll hearth straight back to the trainer and the zeppelin.
There's no zeppelin from Thunder Bluff in Forever: the only way to the Eastern Kingdoms is through Orgrimmar. You won't need the zeppelin back - you'll get home by teleporting through Moonglade (at 26).
➜
From the Crossroads, take the road north, across the bridge into Durotar, to the gates of Orgrimmar.
Haven't turned in Chol'aruk the Ravener[21]? Chol'aruk stands northeast of the Crossroads, not far from this road. Killed him? Go back to the Crossroads before you leave the Barrens (turn it in to Gur'ak). Still no luck? Abandon the quest: the replacement is Gnarled Necromancer's Staff from the Ruins of Lordaeron (step), or without a group, Maul from a vendor in Undercity.
Careful
➜
Orgrimmar
Orgrimmar: Doras - flight path. The zeppelin tower outside the gates has two zeppelins. Frezza sends you to Undercity - that's yours. Snurk Bucksquick sends you to Grom'gol (Stranglethorn Vale) - not that one.
Not sure? Talk to the zeppelin master: he'll tell you where his zeppelin goes.

The zeppelin lands in Tirisfal, not far from Undercity. There's a guard post by the road to the capital: Deathguard Kristof - accept !The Wrath of Rath'mael[22].
Walk to Silverpine: from Undercity take the road southwest through Tirisfal to the Sepulcher. You can only get the Sepulcher flight path by reaching it on foot.

The Sepulcher, Ambermill and a pendant half at the bottom of the sea
0 of 7
It's a tauren's first time here, but skip the forest's early quests: they give little experience now, and the Ambermill chain starts at level 10. Take the level 20–22 quests around the Sepulcher and the second pendant half for Aquatic Form.
Don't forget in this section
Still have Trial of the Sea Lion[16] in your log? The second pendant half is at the bottom off the northwest shore (step).
Wool Cloth from Dalaran mages and refugees - for Wool Bandages, sell the extra at the auction house.

Fly, don't run: Undercity ↔ the Sepulcher is about 2 minutes by air, the Sepulcher ↔ Tarren Mill about 1.5 (once you have the Tarren Mill flight path).

The northwest shore, north of the Sepulcher: according to the wiki, a Strange Lockbox lies on the bottom west of the shipwreck . It holds Half Pendant of Aquatic Endurance - the second half for Trial of the Sea Lion[16].
It's deep here and you don't have Aquatic Form yet: watch your breath bar; there should be a crevice with air at the bottom. You can only join the halves at the Shrine of Remulos in Moonglade - that's at 26.

According to beta data, dungeon quests in Forever give 2–3 times more experience than regular ones - the keep's three quests are worth it. No group for the keep, but you have one for the Ruins of Lordaeron? Fly from the Sepulcher to Undercity (step). No group for either? Go from the Sepulcher straight to Hillsbrad (step), and learn the level 24 abilities together with the level 26 ones (step).
Drops from:Head of Arugal - Archmage Arugal, Arugal
In a group, a druid is usually the tank: in Forever Growl has an 8-second cooldown, and Demoralizing Roar now generates threat. Can't hold threat? Install a threat meter (see the addons article).
The Sepulcher, Karos Razok: fly to Undercity. The Ruins of Lordaeron are in the ruins of the capital right above it.
The level 24 trainer comes after the Ruins (step): you'll definitely be 24 by then.
lvl 24–25
Ruins of Lordaeron
A new Forever dungeon right above Undercity
0 of 6
A group of five, six bosses in any order. The quests are level 21–22, and dungeon quests in Forever give 2–3 times the experience of normal ones - one of the most rewarding stops in 20–30. No group for the Ruins, but you did Shadowfang Keep? In Undercity, turn in The Book of Ur[26], learn the level 24 abilities (step) and fly to the Sepulcher (step).
The Alliance has quests in the Ruins of Lordaeron too - their groups run across all of Tirisfal to the gates of Undercity. This is your land with guards nearby: on PvP realms it's their flag that's up, not yours.
After the Ruins you'll definitely be 24; if not, don't waste your hearthstone - learn the level 24 abilities together with the level 26 ones (step). Don't look for Tiger's Fury at the trainer: it was removed in the October 1 beta patch. According to beta feedback, Rake is expensive for its damage: Claw is better on regular mobs, so save the bleed for mobs that live longer.
The road southeast into Hillsbrad Foothills: Deathstalker Lesh at the border - accept !Time To Strike[20]. Then follow the road east to Tarren Mill.
lvl 25–26
Hillsbrad Foothills
Tarren Mill, Durnholde Keep, the Hillsbrad fields
0 of 9
Tarren Mill is the Forsaken stronghold in Hillsbrad: this is where you turn in Journey to Tarren Mill[18], which you've been carrying since level 20. Don't go into Southshore (Alliance) - it has guards.
Wool Cloth from the Hillsbrad humans - for bandages and the auction house. Mountain lion meat goes into Hot Lion Chops (Agility, Cooking 125), the recipe comes from Elixir of Pain[24].
⚔︎ PvP
Tarren Mill versus Southshore is the classic faction war. In Forever the Alliance quests here from 21 to 30 and goes to the town hall in Hillsbrad Fields - the same place where you kill the farmers. Alliance rogues wait until you're locked in a fight with a footman: shapeshifting removes roots and slows, and War Stomp gives you 2 seconds to get away in Cat Form.
On the beta a chase often breaks off at a zone border: the player jumps into another layer of the world and vanishes. Running away - run for the border; chasing - don't follow across it.
The Deathstalker's exact spot is still being confirmed on the beta - follow the quest marker.
How to do this quest - Scout Support
According to a tester's comment, the quest only opens after the second “Battle of Hillsbrad” (level 25): if High Executor Darthalia doesn't offer it, turn that one in and ask again. Deathstalker Masoj himself stands alone on a hill north of Nethander Stead .
The peaks, according to testers' comments: on the hills above Dun Garok , on the plateau above Durnholde , and above the yeti cave , not inside it. Level 33 mountain lions roam by the third one - approach carefully.
Drops from:Vial of Innocent Blood - Syndicate Shadow Mage
The Syndicate stand close together - pull them one at a time from the edge. Shadow mages cast from range: pull them around a corner so they come right up to you.
How to do this quest - The Rescue
The keys aren't interchangeable, the pairs are “jailor → prisoner”: Jailor Eston → Drull, Jailor Marlgen → Tog'thar. The jailors spawn near the prisoners, sometimes on the road to them.
The key says “Failed!” - that's normal, click again.
The rewards are no use to a druid: Weathered Deathstalker's Blade is a sword, and Expended Apothecary Vial is an off-hand item you can't use with a two-handed mace. Take the sword and sell it - it's worth more (about 28 silver versus 10).

Moonglade: Aquatic Form
A teleport from Hillsbrad, the pendant, the trainer - and a flight home
0 of 6
A druid doesn't need zeppelins: from Hillsbrad, teleport to Moonglade. There you finish Aquatic Form and learn your level 26 abilities, then fly from there to Thunder Bluff, where new quests are waiting.
Don't forget in this section
Teleport: Moonglade works right from Dun Garok: no need to travel to Moonglade on foot.
Skipped the trainer at 24 (step)? Learn the level 24 abilities here too. Not 26 yet? Learn what's available; you'll learn the rest at 28 in Thunder Bluff.
The same flight as at 10 (step): Questie for Forever suggests it right in the Back to Thunder Bluff[10] quest. If that doesn't work - hearthstone (it's set in Undercity), then the zeppelin to Orgrimmar from the tower near Tirisfal and a flight to Thunder Bluff. The tower has two zeppelins: Zapetta - to Orgrimmar, that's yours; Hin Denburg - to Grom'gol, not that one.
Mirkfallon Lake, Stonetalon Peak, the Charred Vale, the Venture Co. airport
0 of 7
The Sun Rock Retreat chains lead into Ashenvale and Thousand Needles - so the mountains first, then the forest. Along the way you do two quests from Thunder Bluff.
Don't forget in this section
Cenarius' Legacy[25] → Ordanus[29]: the target of the second quest is in Ashenvale. Take it while you're here.
Aquatic Form: you swim faster and breathe underwater - swim across Mirkfallon Lake instead of going around the shore.
⚔︎ PvP
The Alliance has its own quest on the same Bloodfury harpies, and their Stonetalon Peak is close by. Rogues wait until you're tangled up with a couple of harpies - pull them one at a time. Put Faerie Fire on a rogue - while it's on him, he can't go back into stealth.
Splintertree Post is a big Horde quest hub. The eastern loop first, then Zoram'gar and, if you have a group, Blackfathom Deeps. You'll also finish The Ashenvale Hunt[20] and The Sacred Flame[25] from Thunder Bluff here.
Don't forget in this section
Je'neu Sancrea: take the Blackfathom Deeps quests only on the day you go - otherwise they clog your log.
Leave Sharptalon (level 31) from the Ashenvale Hunt alone for now - that's for 31+.
You'll turn in Ordanus[29] at Sun Rock Retreat on your next visit (at 30+): The Den[29] with the leather panther armor still lies ahead.
◈ Loot along the way
Cloth from satyrs and furbolgs - Wool Cloth and your first Silk Cloth: for bandages (First Aid) or the auction house.

Half of Blackfathom Deeps is underwater, and Aquatic Form is irreplaceable here: you never run out of breath, and you swim faster than anyone in the group.
⚔︎ PvP
Astranaar is the main Alliance camp for 17–32, and their Silverwing Outpost sits right below Splintertree Post. The classic: raids on Astranaar and the counter-raids on Splintertree. Being chased - run to the Splintertree guards.

next - Ashenvale
Splintertree Post: Vhulgra - flight path; Innkeeper Kaylisk - set your hearthstone in Splintertree.
Turn-ins in Thunder Bluff and a new camp on Skywatcher Plateau
0 of 7
New in Forever: in northwestern Mulgore, above Thunder Bluff, an Earthen Ring camp on Skywatcher Plateau. Four level 30 quests worth ~2.5 thousand experience each, mobs 27–29. But first, turn in the Stonetalon and Ashenvale quests in the capital.
Don't forget in this section
The Broodmother[31] is an elite level 31 spider: group only. No group? Don't take it - the quest doesn't unlock anything.
¤ Shopping and useful stuff
Ohanko : War Hammer≈ 265 - from level 30, a two-handed mace with 22 damage per second. Put the money aside in advance. If you have Hammerbone, you don't need it.
➶ Level faster
Skywatcher Plateau has its own druid trainer - Hana Lighthoof : most likely teaches the same as Turak Runetotem (the list on Wowhead is still empty), and stands close to the spiders.
⌂Turn in 4 quests, pick up 6 new ones and visit your trainer
Thunder Bluff has two elevators - on the southwest and northeast sides. The plateau is northwest of the bluff: take either one down and go around the bluff (which elevator is closer hasn't been checked yet).

Is your level 29 experience bar less than half full? Do the Southern Barrens first (about 15 thousand experience, by an estimate), otherwise Thousand Needles might not be enough to reach 30.
lvl 29–30
Southern Barrens and Razorfen Kraul (optional)
Razormane camps, Bael Modan, a dungeon
0 of 7
About 15 thousand experience near Taurajo, on the way to Thousand Needles. Useful if you're short of 30 or you've got a group for Razorfen Kraul. Weapons of Choice[24] rewards Demolition Hammer, a two-handed mace with 17.6 damage per second.
Travel Form from 30: +40% speed outdoors. Nobody has a mount until 40 - the only one who keeps up with you is a shaman: Ghost Wolf also gave +40% in Classic.
⚔︎ PvP
Level 30 - battlegrounds. On the beta the new battleground Darkspear Islands, 15 vs 15, opens at 30. Battlemasters in the capitals queue you, and there's also a portal in the Darkspear Raiders camp north of Ratchet. Don't fall into the water - testers complain about sharks.
Druid PvP: shapeshifting removes roots and slows, and Hibernate also works on an Alliance druid in animal form. Thousand Needles is contested, but the Alliance has almost no quests here until 30+.
Not 30 yet? Make it up right here: Cliffwatcher Longhorn now gives Grimtotem Spying[28] - three notes in crates at Darkcloud Pinnacle , in the Grimtotem tauren camp; Elu - Wind Rider[29]: 10 wyvern eggs at Highperch in the west . Both quests go back to whoever gave them.
What's next (30+): the rest of Thousand Needles, Ordanus[29] → The Den[29] in Stonetalon, the Shimmering Flats, Hillsbrad and Arathi, “Excavation Site: Wetlands” and the Scarlet Monastery. That will be the next part of the guide.
☠︎
Dungeons: what to pick up in advance
Quests offered far from the entrance - so you don't have to come back
In Forever, experience from dungeon mobs is lower, while dungeon quests give 2–3 times the experience of normal ones (even after the beta bonus was cut in half). Going in without quests makes little sense - collect them in advance, but not earlier than needed: quests “for later” clog your log. A druid is always welcome in a group: a bear tank, a healer, and from 12 you also have Revive.
For a druid: the Embrace of the Viper set from the Fanglords - leather with Intellect and Agility. According to beta data, all 5 pieces turn your cat into a snake (appearance only).
What to learn, which form to fight in and what to hit with - up to level 30
What changed in Forever: Cat Form at 20 now comes from a class quest - on the beta, players report the trainer doesn't have it. In Bear and Cat Form your weapon does the hitting: auto-attack uses its damage per second, and Claw deals 110% weapon damage. Potions and most consumables work without leaving form, and forms can't be disarmed. Nature's Grasp (10) and Omen of Clarity (20) are now learned from the trainer, and the new Revive (12) resurrects out of combat. Wrath costs half as much and hits noticeably weaker, Tiger's Fury was removed, and “powershifting” is gone.
How to level. 1–9 - caster: Moonfire to pull, staff hits up close, Thorns and Mark of the Wild always on you. 10–20 - bear: Enrage → Maul on every swing, Demoralizing Roar for two mobs, and from 16 Swipe for three. From 20 - cat: Prowl, sneak up, Claw up to 4–5 combo points. Three or more mobs - back to bear and War Stomp: in Forever it works in forms too.
Horde druid trainers: Gart Mistrunner in Camp Narache (up to level 6), Gennia Runetotem in Bloodhoof Village, Turak Runetotem on Elder Rise, Loganaar in Moonglade and the new Hana Lighthoof on Skywatcher Plateau north of Thunder Bluff. There's no druid trainer in Orgrimmar or Undercity. Exact Forever prices haven't been checked yet - just save up: riding training at 40 costs 100 gold.
Forms
Which one when
Bear Form (10): your main form until 20. A hit every 2.5 seconds with your weapon's damage, rage from your hits and crits. Shifting in costs 55% of your base mana.
Cat Form (20): a hit every second, plus combo points. According to Method and testers, combo points in Forever don't vanish when you switch targets - carry them over to the next mob.
Aquatic Form (16, quest until ~26): you breathe underwater and swim faster - you need it in Blackfathom Deeps. It also gives you Idol of Shifting Tides: shapeshifts cost 40 less mana.
Travel Form (30): +40% speed outdoors - until level 40 only a shaman keeps up with you (Ghost Wolf).
Sharpening stones and weightstones work in forms too in Forever: sharpen your weapon before a long loop.
Mana and healing
How to spend less time drinking
Shifting into Bear or Cat Form costs 55% of your base mana, shifting out is free. Don't leave form just to cast Rejuvenation: if you have enough health for the next mob, keep fighting.
Regrowth is your main heal from 12, and in Forever it costs almost half as much as in Classic. Cast Rejuvenation before a pull - it heals you during the fight.
You don't spend mana in form: Moonfire to pull, then straight into bear - your mana regenerates while you fight.
In Forever you can drink healing and mana potions right in form. Healing potions are now made with First Aid.
Veildust Medicine Bag from Curing the Sick[14] - out of combat only: equip it in place of your two-handed mace, use it, then put the mace back on.
4 builds with a talent tree and the order by level
The main one is “Feral Combat: Cat”: Feral Swiftness at 18–19, Leader of the Pack at 30. There's also “Feral Combat: Bear” for dungeons, “Feral Combat: Furor Cat” and Balance.
All builds, the tree and the point order are in the “Leveling talents” section.
How not to die
Combos that save you
Nature's Grasp before a fight: the first enemy to hit you in melee gets stuck in roots. In Forever it works in forms and indoors.
Things going badly: shift out, Regrowth and Rejuvenation, back into bear - or run away in Cat Form.
Revive resurrects an ally out of combat: in a group it saves someone a corpse run.
⚒︎
Professions and camping
What to take, where to learn it and what to collect - up to level 30
Druid tip: Herbalism + Skinning, plus First Aid and Cooking. Herbs and hides pay for your abilities and for riding (100 gold at 40). Tauren also have Cultivation: an extra herb every 15 minutes. The second option is Skinning + Leatherworking: in Forever, melee leather patterns with Agility are sold near the Crossroads - that's cat gear, and the leatherworker's tent gives a rest bonus.
Every profession has its own “Camping 101” quest - Camping 101: Herbalism[6] for Herbalism, Camping 101: Skinning[6] for Skinning: Kaga Wildhoof gives them too, once your skill goes up. The reward is a camp item with a buff.
Herbalism - a candle (+Intellect), Skinning - a chair (+2% crit), Leatherworking - a tent (rest bonus), First Aid - a first aid kit (+Stamina).
Sit by any campfire for a minute, even someone else's - you get a buff for an hour.
Cooking and First Aid
In Forever any cooked food gives +5% experience from kills for 15 minutes - always eat.
In Forever, First Aid also makes healing potions, a poultice against diseases and a tourniquet against bleeding. Druids can't remove diseases - the poultice fills that gap.
Pand Stonebinder in Thunder Bluff teaches Wool Bandages (skill 80).
New in Forever: a Durotar Supply and Logistics camp near the Crossroads. Fill the crates you find in the world with herbs, hides or ore and turn them in for a currency - the same camp sells melee leather patterns for it.
Money
Sell gray items at every stop; herbs and leather go to the Thunder Bluff auction house.
Don't buy a weapon from a vendor if a quest one is 1–2 levels away (the list is in the “Druid” section).
Aim for about 10 gold saved by level 30: at 40 you'll need 100 for riding.

What's new in Forever
Only what matters for this route
Beta data (build 1.60.1, as of October 13, 2026, beta level cap 30): the Wowhead Forever database, Blizzard patch notes, the Questie database and the RestedXP route for Forever. Things may change before the November 4 launch.
What stayed the samebeta data
The old Mulgore and Barrens quests are all still there, and neither their experience nor the experience per level has changed.
The class quests for Bear Form, the poison cure and Aquatic Form are the same as in Classic.
No new flight paths for the Horde in 1–30, and no zeppelin from Thunder Bluff either: you get to the Eastern Kingdoms through Orgrimmar. The hearthstone is once an hour.
Mounts still come at level 40 (the first one is free, training costs 100 gold).
Mulgore and Thunder Bluffbeta data
The Mulgore map was rebuilt: the coordinates don't match the old guides. This site uses Forever coordinates.
A new camp on Skywatcher Plateau in northwestern Mulgore: the druid trainer Hana Lighthoof and level 30 quests near Gloomrise - at 29 on this route.
Druids in Foreverofficial
Cat Form is a quest at 20 (step), not something you buy from the trainer.
In forms your weapon does the hitting: auto-attack uses its damage per second, and abilities deal a percentage of it. Sharpening stones, weapon enchants and potions all work. Forms can't be disarmed.
Bears got two rage and threat buffs in October: +50% threat in form and twice as much rage from crits.
Tauren: racial abilitiesbeta data
War Stomp now works in Bear and Cat Form too: a 2-second stun on everything nearby.
Endurance - +5% health and +2% critical strike damage and healing (since October 15; it used to be +1% hit).
Plainsrunning (new): +1% speed for every 5 seconds of running, up to 30%; taking damage or stopping resets it. According to one guide, it doesn't stack with Cat Form or Travel Form.
Cultivation - grow an herb nearby once every 15 minutes (since October 15; it used to be once an hour); with Herbalism that's an extra herb.
Nature Resistance isn't on the Forever racial list.
PvP and rulesetsofficial
Rulesets to choose from: “Normal” - PvP only if you want it (/pvp); “PvP” - your flag turns on by itself in contested and enemy zones; “RP” - same as Normal.
Horde lands on the route: Mulgore, the Barrens, Tirisfal and Silverpine Forest. Contested: Stonetalon (from 18), Hillsbrad Foothills, Ashenvale and Thousand Needles.
Battlegrounds: Warsong Gulch from 10, Arathi Basin from 20, the new Darkspear Islands (15 vs 15) from 30. On the beta, according to testers, only the level 30 battleground is open.
For druids: shapeshifting removes roots and slows; Faerie Fire is free in form - while it's on, the target can't go into stealth; Hibernate also works on an enemy druid in animal form.
Experience and conveniencesofficial
Cooked food gives +5% experience from kills. Camping buffs, the tent and the sleeping bag.
Dungeon quests give 2–3 times the experience of normal ones.
There's no automatic dungeon finder - only the bulletin board, and meeting stones don't summon.
The Legacy system: account-wide bonuses unlock once your first character reaches 25.

Tips and common mistakes
The hearthstone, dangerous mobs, what not to forget
20–30: Chol'aruk (level 20 elite) near the Crossroads, the Syndicate at Durnholde Keep, Keeper Ordanus with guards in Ashenvale, Broodmother Valraxx (level 31 elite) at Gloomrise.
Moonglade: the enraged spirits in the Stormrage Barrow Dens.
Common mistakes
Staying a caster after 10: in Forever Wrath is noticeably weaker than in Classic - go get Bear Form right away.
Looking for Cat Form at the trainer at 20 - it's a quest, and Turak Runetotem on Elder Rise gives it.
Wearing a staff “with stats” instead of a weapon with damage - in Forever your forms hit with your weapon's damage.
Not learning Two-Handed Maces - and then you can't equip Goblin Smasher.
Abandoning Trial of the Sea Lion[16] - while the second pendant half is waiting for you in Silverpine Forest at ~23.
Going back from Hillsbrad by zeppelin - for a druid, Teleport: Moonglade and a flight from Moonglade are faster (step).
Shifting out after every fight to cast Rejuvenation - your mana runs out in three fights.
Not setting your hearthstone in Thunder Bluff before the cat quest - you'll have to fly back from Moonglade.
