Cookie policy

What we store

Cookies are small records stored by your browser. Local storage is another browser storage mechanism. WowCamp uses local storage to remember your language, selected character, guide progress, saved builds, favorite pages and reading settings. These settings are not sent to Google by our consent code and are kept until you reset them or clear site data.

Your analytics choice is stored locally under wowcamp:cookie-consent:v1 for 180 days. Accepting and refusing are remembered for the same period. If storage is blocked, the choice may only last for the current page.

Google Analytics

Only after you choose “Allow analytics” do we load Google Analytics 4 (G-7S5CMVETL9). It helps us measure visits and understand which pages are useful. Google may receive page addresses, referral information, browser and device information, approximate location and interactions, associated with browser identifiers. This is not a promise of anonymous processing.

We use consent as the basis for optional analytics. Before consent, and after refusal, our code does not load the Google tag or send analytics pings. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation remain denied. Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration.

Analytics may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_7S5CMVETL9 to distinguish browsers and maintain session state. We configure a lifetime of up to 400 days; continued use with consent can renew it. Your browser can impose a shorter lifetime. Cookie lifetime is separate from the retention settings for data already received by Google Analytics.

Google processes analytics data on its infrastructure, which may include processing outside your country and the European Economic Area. Details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics cookie documentation.

Change or withdraw your choice

Open “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page (before your first choice the button is also at the bottom left) and choose “Reject analytics”. We disable further measurement, remove accessible _ga cookies for this site and reload the page if the Google tag was already running. Refusal does not restrict guides or tools. Withdrawing consent does not erase data already sent to Google or undo earlier processing.

You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing all site data also removes saved guide progress, builds and preferences. Consent is shared between RU and EN on this browser and domain, but not between devices.

Other external services

The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts and game tooltips or images from Wowhead/ZAM. Those requests can reveal your IP address and technical request information to those providers. The analytics switch controls Google Analytics only; it does not block these services. External links follow the destination website’s own policies.
