WoW Forever launch time in your time zone, queues, and login errors

Updated21 October 2026 · 8 min read · based on beta 1.60.1 and official news

WoW Forever launches worldwide at the same moment: November 4, 2026 at 15:00 Pacific time (18:00 in New York, 23:00 in London), which is midnight going into November 5 in Berlin and Paris. The countdown below converts the launch to your time zone automatically. A login queue is likely: on the first day of beta, players saw queues of 20,000 or more. Below, we explain how to handle the wait and what the login errors mean.

WoW Forever launch time in major cities

November 4 at 15:00 PST, which is 23:00 UTC: Wednesday afternoon in the Americas and the night from Wednesday to Thursday in Europe. Every region opens at that same moment; no region gets in earlier.

The countdown and table at the top of the page calculate the time using your device's time zone. To check it yourself, here are the main cities:

One Blizzard announcement says PDT, while another says PST. PST is correct: the United States returns to standard time on November 1, and the Korean page confirms this with 08:00 on November 5 in Seoul.

Can you log in early? Name reservation, preloading, and beta

No. Nobody gets early access to gameplay. Before launch, you can only create characters; everyone begins playing at level 1 at the same time. Beta progress will be wiped.

Name reservation runs October 27 through November 3, Pacific time. It requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, or Warcraft Forever Collection; beta access alone is not enough. You can create up to three characters per account and fully customize their appearance. Names are unique within a region and are first come, first served.

The exact opening time for name reservation has not been announced. Based on the calendar dates, it can begin no earlier than midnight Pacific time on October 27 (07:00 in London, 08:00 in Berlin) and must end no later than midnight Pacific time after November 3 (08:00 UTC on November 4).

As of October 13, there is no preload date. Blizzard Support says the release version cannot be installed before November 4. How that fits with name reservation beginning October 27 is still unclear; we will update this when Blizzard explains.

The beta runs through October 21, Pacific time. On October 13, the Battle.net launcher gained a WoW: Forever – Stress Test entry dated October 19. This appears to be the promised Server Slam, which opens the servers to everyone for a few hours, but Blizzard has not yet announced a start time (read more). For what to do beforehand, see our pre-launch checklist.

Why WoW Forever has login queues and disconnects afterward

A queue means Battle.net is limiting logins to avoid crashing. Forever senior producer Tom Ellis explained this on the first day of beta and described it as normal. Blizzard has not forecast launch queues. During launch week, subscribers will also be joined by invited friends, who can play November 4–11.

On September 17, beta players saw between 4,600 and 20,000+ people ahead of them and waited 20–50 minutes. Many were disconnected at the end and had to start again. Ellis said the beta used test servers, a single service handled all logins for a region, and empty maps were filling server memory. Those issues were fixed, and the player limit was raised at least twice. Blizzard has not said whether launch will avoid similar problems.

What can help:

  • Create your character in advance if you have name reservation access. On launch night, you will only need to log in.
  • Do not close the client while queued. On the beta, players who disconnected were sent back into the queue, often farther back than before.
  • Login Servers are Full and Realm is full meant the player limit had been reached on the beta. Waiting is the only solution.
  • If you see a countdown in chat, finish your fight. Beta server restarts came with a 15-minute warning. After the disconnect, there was no reconnect grace period: players went straight back into the queue.

Cannot log into WoW Forever? What the errors mean

First, check whether the servers are down. Reinstalling will not fix an outage at Blizzard. These are the messages players encountered most often on the beta.

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
All realms are unavailable, BLZ51900033The servers are undergoing maintenance or receiving a new buildCheck the status and wait; on the beta, this sometimes lasted a couple of hours or longer
BLZ51901016, stuck retrieving the realm listBlizzard attributes this to a weak PC or poor connection. Server outages looked the same on the betaCheck server status, update drivers, reset the interface, restart your router, and close unnecessary programs
WOW51900319: disconnectedThe game lost its connection to the serversIf there is no outage, check your network. As a last resort, toggle IPv6 in the game's network settings

WOW51900309On the beta, players could not get past realm selectionA player suggestion, not Blizzard's: end the stuck Wow.exe or WowB.exe process in Task Manager
Stuck on Retrieving character list or Character not foundA known beta issue after the October 1 buildWait; many players eventually got in. Switching from Ethernet to Wi-Fi helped two people, but those were isolated reports

Which region to choose and whether latency will match the beta

Choose the region where you and your friends play: usually Americas for North and South America and Europe for Europe. Change your region above the Play button in Battle.net. Names and characters are tied to a region, and Blizzard does not currently allow play across regions.

Beta latency is not a reliable benchmark. The beta ran only on American servers: testers in Europe initially saw 500–2,000 ms, falling to around 110–130 ms after Blizzard's fixes. Players expect European servers at launch, but Blizzard has not officially promised them.

There is no server list. You choose a ruleset: Normal, PvP, or Roleplaying, with Hardcore coming after release. Each ruleset is one large regional world divided into layers. You can group only within the same ruleset and faction. Plan ahead with our playing with friends guide.

Cannot create a character on the PvP ruleset? It allows one faction per account. Blizzard may also temporarily block character creation for one faction to preserve balance, as it did in Season of Discovery.

To meet people who speak your language more often, choose a preferred communication language: Esc → Settings, under language and communication. This applies account-wide and can be changed once every 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

What time does WoW Forever launch in the US and Europe?

November 4, 2026 at 15:00 PST, 18:00 EST and 23:00 in London, which is midnight going into November 5 in Berlin and Paris. All regions launch at the same moment: Europe neither waits for another region nor gets a head start.

Why does Blizzard say November 4 when it is November 5 in Europe?

Because of time zones. It is the middle of the afternoon on November 4 in California, but already the first minutes of Thursday, November 5 in Berlin. Both refer to the very same minute.

Can you start playing early if you buy a pack?

No. Skyborne Heroic, Skyborne Epic, and Warcraft Forever Collection provide name reservation from October 27 through November 3, allowing up to three characters with appearance customization. Their owners begin playing alongside everyone else.

Will your beta character carry over?

No. Beta progress will be wiped. Everyone starts at level 1 when the game launches.

Do you need to buy WoW Forever separately?

No. Access is included in your WoW subscription or game time. A pack is required for name reservation, but you can play without buying one.

Will there be a queue on launch day?

Most likely. Blizzard has not made a forecast, but first-day beta queues reached 20,000 people. Create your character in advance and keep the client open while you wait in the queue.
